Peru Team Summer 2019
Week 1: Carrickfergus to Tacna, Perú Mark 16:15 “He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” Where do I begin…I could write a short novel on everything we packed into just over 2 weeks in Perú, but I’ll try and summarise it for you all with the highlights. Myself and May set off early on the Friday morning from Belfast to London, change of airport and then onto Lima where we stopped over…
Peru 2019
Two people from our congregation are members of a team visiting Peru this summer: Alex Boyd and May Green. The team is being led by locals David and Yury Fleming and includes people from a range of churches in Northern Ireland. We are thankful to those from Carrick Baptist who have come along and shared both their professional advice and their faith with those who attend on Tuesday evenings. We are really looking forward…

Then as David and I became parents, having 3 young children and the excitement overload that brought. Christmastime was busy. The Christmas edition of The Argos book came into the house and the children would sit for hours trying to choose what they would like, then of…
Why we love Christmas – David Dickson
I love Christmas! First, there’s the food; turkey, turkey curry, turkey sandwiches, turkey toasties. Then there’s the music; I wish it could be Christmas every day! Not forgetting the Christmas movies; Elf, The Grinch, It’s a Wonderful Life. The bright lights of Christmas help to shorten what would be a long and dark Northern Irish winter. But best of all, Christmas holidays allow us to rest and spend quality time with our family and friends. What’s not to love about…
