‘Mums of Little Ones’ takes place on the last Thursday of each month. It is an opportunity for mums to come together to join in a time of fellowship and share in the highs and lows of parenting over a cup of tea and some treats. We finish the evening with someone sharing a bible verse that has been of significance or something they have read, followed by a time of prayer. In this time we pray for our children, as well as one another in our roles as mothers. My hope and prayer for this group is that we would grow in our relationships with each other and build each other up through support and prayer. We hope to begin a study together in September and work through a book called ‘Treasuring Christ When Your Hands Are Full’ by Gloria Furman.
Since our hearts have been knit together in love through Christ (Col 2:2), we share a bond that runs deeper than any brand loyalty, denomination, shared interest or tribe…Sisters in Christ enjoy an abiding sweetness of fellowship as their upbringing and opinions seem so pale in comparison to the unity of their faith in Christ.
