Gareth grew up in Belfast, where he came to faith at age 20. After leaving university, he worked for a few years in the Ulster Bank, before sensing the Lord’s call into full-time ministry. As a result, he left the bank and went to the Irish Baptist College to study ‘Preparation for Ministry’. Gareth then served as the pastor of Cookstown Baptist for almost 12 years, before accepting the call to be pastor of Carrickfergus Baptist in 2024.Gareth is married to Nicole and they have two boys. In his spare time, he loves to run, enjoy a nice coffee, and experience the ups and (mostly) downs of being a Leeds United fan.
