Carrickfergus Baptist Church is pleased to be running The Bereavement Journey\u00ae<\/strong>, a seven-week programme for adults who have experienced the death of someone important to them.<\/p>\n Whether your loss was recent or many years ago, grief can affect every part of life. Sometimes we can feel that we should have \u201cmoved on\u201d by now, or find ourselves struggling with emotions we weren’t expecting.<\/p>\n The Bereavement Journey\u00ae provides a safe and supportive space to explore some of the different aspects of grief and loss.<\/strong><\/p>\n Each week, participants watch short films exploring different aspects of bereavement before having the opportunity to discuss and reflect on what they have seen.<\/p>\n There is no pressure to talk or share<\/strong>. You can participate at whatever level feels comfortable for you. The aim is to provide a safe environment where you can listen, reflect and begin to make sense of your own experience of grief.<\/p>\n The programme consists of seven weekly sessions<\/strong>, with the first six exploring different aspects of bereavement. The seventh session is optional and provides an opportunity to explore some of the spiritual questions that can arise following bereavement, including a Christian perspective.<\/p>\n The Bereavement Journey\u00ae is open to anyone aged 18 or over who has experienced the death of someone important to them, at any time<\/strong>. You do not need to be a Christian, and you do not need to attend Carrickfergus Baptist Church.<\/p>\n Mondays at 7:30pm<\/strong> October:<\/strong> 5th, 12th & 19th We would encourage participants to attend as many of the sessions as possible, as each week builds on the previous sessions.<\/p>\n If you have experienced bereavement and feel that you would benefit from having some time and space to explore your grief, we would love to welcome you<\/strong>.<\/p>\n You don’t have to have the right words.
